On Friday, NASA had sent the LCROSS (Lunar CRater Observing and Sensing Satellite), a robotic spacecraft, to take photos of a spacecraft crashing into one of the craters of the moon. The crash experiment is to search for hidden ice and water beneath the moon's rock. This exercise, which NASA calls moon bombing, costed taxpayers $79 million.
