A boy and a girl – believed to be around eight years of age – are seen in the clip stripping off their clothes and kissing each other, the paper reported. Their acts are believed to have taken place on top of an abandoned building, where it was filmed.

The Malay daily in its front-page story, however, said it could not be ascertained if the children were locals. The clip was made known after several concerned parents called the newspaper expressing their worries.

News of the flooded restaurant spread and the restaurant is now packed with diners while waitresses say they are struggling to keep up with orders.

The owner said he was prepared to temporarily close the restaurant after the heaviest rains for 50 years brought floods to the city.

But he had a change of heart when he heard how the eatery's new wet look was bringing in the customers.

"It's very cool. Not only in temperature, but also for a fun new way of having a meal," said one diner.

Ishmeet was alone in pool: Ishmeet Singh, the winner of "Voice of India", has died in the Maldives. Ishmeet drowned in the swimming pool of the Chaaya Island Dhonveli resort. He was there to perform at the 'Star Voice of Maldives' contest to be held on the 1st August. Witnesses said that they could not make out that Ishmeet was in trouble.

Witnesses Vyom (15) and Arunima (20), both belonging to Delhi, have told the commission that they hit the pool area while others preferred to rest in resort rooms.

They told the commission that Ishmeet had ventured alone into the pool beckoning them to join him. The witnesses added that Ishmeet kept going towards the deeper part of the pool waving at them to follow him, revealed Swamy.

The girl said Ishmeet waved frantically when he went to the deepest part, but they could not make out if it was desperation call to save him. “By the time , we realised what had happened, Ishmeet had sunk to the floor of the pool,” the witnesses told the commission. The witnesses could not be reached over the phone.

Swamy said the two witnesses raised the alarm and hotel staff and others rushed. Ishmeet was pulled out. A doctor tried to revive him by the pool side. But it was too late. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.

I don't know where to start.. For people who want to know what exactly happened, here it is.

According to KeanBoon, he said he was on the way sending wen home. When he wanted to corner, there was a pool of water so he pulled break. The impact was too huge so it skid and the car turned a few rounds, hit barrier or signboard something like that. He did not speed, he only drove at the speed 60.

So, wen was the only one who got hit by the barrier/signboard. She went coma immediately. 4+am.

Japanese woman goes on stabbing rampage, wounding 7 people at train station: A 34-year-old Chigasaki resident, Hisae Sakurai, slashes 7 people at a train station because she thought she was going to die.

A Japanese woman went on a stabbing rampage at a crowded train station, wounding seven men after failing to slash her own wrist, police said Tuesday. The woman attempted to cut her wrist with an army knife at a shopping mall Monday night near the train station in Hiratsuka, 43 miles southwest of Tokyo, but someone bumped into her and she became angry, said police official Hidetoshi Yukitake.

The woman was arrested at the scene after being overpowered by onlookers.

"She said she was frustrated. She was also angry at her father," Yukitake said.

The stabbing was the latest in a spate of similar attacks in Japan. Seven people were killed in Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district on June 8 when a man slammed a truck into a crowd of people, jumped out and began stabbing passers-by at random.

The suspect, identified as a 34-year-old part-time employee from Chigasaki, suddenly began slashing pedestrians with a small multitool pocket knife just outside the station's ticket gates around 7:30 p.m., they said.

Sakurai said,

The suspect has been taken into custody. The man killed was identified as Greg McKendry, a 60-year-old usher and board member at the church.

Police said a man walked into Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church's sanctuary and fired a 12-gauge shotgun about 10:15 a.m. Church members subdued him, and officers were questioning him Sunday afternoon, Police Chief Sterling Owen said. The suspect's identity was not released, but Owen said he is believed to be a Knoxville resident. Investigators were checking whether he has a criminal history, and they had no information indicating he had been to the church before, Owen said. The man opened fire during a children's production of the musical "Annie," church members said. About 200 people in the church were watching the production, which was being put on by 25 children, The Associated Press reported.

In a first-of-its-kind achievement, Air India Express, the international budget carrier of Air India, today operated an all-women crew flight to Singapore from Chennai. The Flight IX-662, with 182 passengers on board, was commanded by Capt Chameli Krottapalli, who today became the first woman commander of the airline.

The operation of the all-women crew flight was in recognition of Capt Chameli's achievement of becoming the first woman commander of the airlines. She joined the Air India in 2004.

Dwarf comedy stunt shocks Swedish airport staff; police called to investigate: A Swedish TV comedy show played a prank at the Bromma airport by checking in a suitcase with a dwarf inside.

Swedish airport staff were not amused when a team from a TV comedy show tried to check in a suitcase with a dwarf inside.

Employees at Bromma airport called police when the dwarf hopped out of the suitcase at the check-in counter.

Police soon found that it was a stunt being filmed by a hidden camera for a program on private TV network Kanal 5.

Kanal 5 spokesman Dan Panas told Swedish news agency TT that the show was meant to be "provocative and entertaining." He said the stunt was not meant to make fun of little people, but to make entertainment out of "extreme situations."

Randy Pausch, noted CMU prof, succumbs to cancer: Dr. Randy Pausch, who inspired many with his "Last Lecture", has succumbed to pancreatic cancer. Dr. Pausch was 47 and he leaves behind his wife and three children.

Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon University computer science professor whose final lecture inspired millions, died early today in Virginia of pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Pausch, 47, who turned the lecture into a book, said that no one would have been interested in his words of wisdom were he not a man in his 40s with a terminal illness, leaving behind a wife and three young children.

According to a 24th July post on Dr Pausch's website,

A biopsy last week revealed that the cancer has progresed further than we had thought from recent PETscans. Since last week, Randy has also taken a step down and is much sicker than he had been. He's now enrolled in hospice. He's no longer able to post here so I'm a friend posting on his behalf because we know that many folks are watching this space for updates.
