StarHub announced on Friday that it would provide its users access to instant messaging service Windows Live Messenger and social network Facebook - two of the hottest communication tools - free.Read the rest of the story here.
There will also be no data charges when the messages are sent out or received.
To start, the service will be available on 10 phone models where the applications have already been pre-loaded.
These include models such as the Nokia E63, HTC Touch HD and the Samsung Omnia.
