Marilyn Monroe Adjacent Grave Still Available For World’s Richest Weirdo: The crypt directly above the Marilyn Monroe's grave was put up for auction at eBay by Elsie Poncher, whose husband, Richard Poncher, is entombed in the crypt at Pierce Bros. The auction has just ended and a bidder from Japan appeared to be the winner, putting an offer of $4,602,100. However, the winner emailed Poncher's representative and said,
I am awfully sorry but I need to cancel this because of the paying problem.
The crypt at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery was put up for auction, which started at $500,000 on 14 August.
