of rebecca lim edges out jeanette aw for best actress win at ata 2010

Rebecca Lim edges out Jeanette Aw for Best Actress win at ATA 2010: Rebecca Lim, star of Fighting Spiders and The Pupil, won the Best Actress Award at last night's Asian Television Awards 2010. Her win comes just a few days after she won the Actress of the Year award at the Elle Awards 2010 held on 08 Dec 2010.

If you ask us, we'll say Rebecca Lim's on a roll.

Barely a week after bringing home the Elle Awards 2010 Actress of the Year award for her role as Susie Woon in Channel 5's Fighting Spiders, the 24-year-old went on to bag another Best Actress Award at last night's Asian Television Awards 2010.

No more a fresh face ingénue, Rebecca outdid fellow nominees like Taiwanese actresses Yang Gui-Mei, Pan Li-Li, Jeanette Aw, Janice Koh, Michelle Chia, and Quan Yi Fong - winning a nod for her turn as the budding lawyer, Wendy Lim, in Channel 5's The Pupil.

Pleasantly surprised and shocked at the outcome, the modest one said that she "totally did not expect this," while receiving her award onstage.

Looking sweet and girly in a Spring 2011 Marc Jacobs frock, The Pupil actress's unexpected win sent her into a tizzy. A delighted Rebecca shared, "I didn't expect this win at all. I'm still shaking a bit. (Laughs) It's a very pleasant surprise and I'm very thankful for it."
