of from free to fee

ST website to charge for access from Mar 15 [more]

Well something was fishy when they started the registration thingy. Registration free? Not anymore! Did they start this registration to get a feel of how many subscribers they have? All 280,000 of them?

I've added a statement on their login screen (because I am bored) to poke some fun. Hope they don't flame me for defacing their webpage.

Others bloggers views on this pay-as-you-read scheme:

There's a list of comments at Mr Brown. People posting their views. Some say boycott and hopefully "Straits Times" would become "Dire Straits Times". Well let see what happens after 15th March. There are other sources of news online.
