Adds the source: "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."

In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual." Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

Educator Stabbed to Death, Killer in Custody: A school teacher was stabbed by a man in broad day-light. Educator Asa Tamashita was sitting on a bench when a man stabbed her 25 times.

It's a horrific crime. An educator is stabbed to death in broad daylight in a crowded shopping center and some who knew her think it was completely random.

Co-workers say Asa Yamashita was as nice as can be with no known enemies which is why her death is such a shock.

This afternoon she was at Ewa Town Center just sitting on a bench eating saimin.

"This girl that works next door at Supercuts, she said she just cut her hair and that she was waiting for her husband or someone to pick her up," said Alana Cardenas, who works at the American Savings Bank right next to the crime scene.

That's when an unidentified 25 year old man walked up and stabbed Yamashita several times. She managed to make it into the Lovely Nails II salon where people there helped her and tried to keep the killer out. Witnesses did get a look at him.

Eye-witnesses says the killer could be

The suspect is now under custody by the Kapolei Police.

U2 brought London to a standstill tonight (February 27) after performing a surprise rooftop gig. The Dublin four-piece attracted over 5,000 fans to Regent Street during rush hour as they capped off a hectic day of promotion for their 12th studio album 'No Line On The Horizon'. Rumours of the gig, which was staged on top of BBC Broadcasting House, had been posted on several message boards throughout the day. Thousands of fans turned up before the band eventually arrived at 6.45pm to perform a 20 minute set which included recent single 'Get On Your Boots' and new album track 'Magnificent'.

'No Line On The Horizon' is released on Monday (March 2).

For sale - One life in China: 26-year-old Chen Xiao (see photos below) discovers she didn't know what to do with her life and so she puts her life online, asking people to fill it with tasks. Chen Xiao charges $3 per hour and she will not do anything illegal, immoral or violent.

Chen Xiao had pretty much given up making her own decisions and so decided to throw open her life to the whims of China's hundreds of millions of Internet users, known in China as netizens. Since December, Chen has been allowing others to decide what she will do each day, because, for the most part, last year was awful, she said. Her hometown was hit by blizzards, her country rocked by a devastating earthquake, friends divorced and her clothing shop went bankrupt.

The 26-year-old native of Hunan province living in Beijing has created her own website on Taobao.com to sell her time.

That's when Simon allegedly "grabbed his testicles and squeezed hard," according to a police report. Donkor, 23, replied, "Yeah, it hurt a lot," when a cop asked about Simon's squeeze play. Donkor told police that he had dated Simon "on and off" during the prior 18 months, and that they had broken up "approximately 20 times."

Gilles Blackburn, 51, and Marie Jose Fortin, 44, were apparently lost for 10 days in the mountains near Golden, B.C., with only two granola bars for food after they skied out of bounds at the resort on Feb. 15. But despite two reports from a local heli-ski company that SOS symbols had been spotted carved in the snow, neither police nor search-and-rescue teams began ground searches until Tuesday. By the time help finally arrived, the woman was dead and the man suffered frostbite, hunger and exposure to cold, police say.

Initial reports said that one person died in the wreckage. But The Associated Press quoted Turkish Airlines as saying that there were no deaths among the 127 passengers and seven crew on the plane, Turkish Airlines flight TK1951, that left Istanbul at 8:22 a.m. on Wednesday. Temel Kotil, the chief executive of the airline, said at a news conference in Istanbul that 20 people were injured in the accident. The crash took place in calm weather with a light drizzle. Unlike a deadly accident in Madrid last summer when a Spanair flight crashed while taking off, no fire broke out during Wednesday’s crash. The Turkish aircraft would have been low on fuel as it approached its destination.

New Orleans Mardi Gras Shooting Leaves Six Injured: A Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans erupted into chaos on Fat Tuesday when gunshots struck six people. An infant was among the victims in Mardi Gras shooting. Two suspects were in custody and the victims were recovering.

Today is Fat Tuesday, a day known for gluttony as it marks the end of the Mardi Gras celebration before the Lenten season begins. Police have recovered the weapon used in the Mardi Gras shooting and have arrested two suspects. Bob Young, New Orleans police spokesman, says the 'Rex' parade had just passed by a group of revelers when shots were heard around 1:40pm CST. Shots erupted during a truck float parade that followed. One victim was shot in the stomach and is in serious condition according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper. The other victims are in stable condition including a 1-year-old baby boy with a graze wound in the back; a 17-year-old girl was shot in the thigh, while a 50-year-old woman was shot in the elbow and a 30-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the thigh. Each of the victims appeared to be innocent bystanders according to Deputy Chief of police Kirk Bouyelas.

Mardi Gras is New Orleans' pre-Lenten celebration that attempts to rival Brazil's Carnival. Family picnics on the parade route are a common staple, along with plenty of X-rated sights on Bourbon Street. GMAIL IS PROVING to be more of a G-Fail this morning, with the web based email service down worldwide for at least 30 minutes (and counting as we type). Google has fessed up to the fact it's having "issues" but promises it is "working to resolve the problem". Luckily the phone lines weren't down. Gurgle won't say how many people or regions are being affected by the outage, but judging by the outrage on micro-blogging sites like Twitter, the firm will need to apologise in about 50 different languages. Mon dieu!

So what may or may not be the big winner on Sunday? Spoiler alert: The "leaky" site predicted "Slumdog Millionaire" for Best Picture — which isn't a huge stretch, since the movie about an Indian game show contestant's quest for his true love is the presumed front runner for that top award.

An Oscar spokesman denied the accuracy of the list, saying,

The document is a complete fraud.

The letter was signed by Sid Ganis, the president of the Academy.

The photo surfaced on one of the internet communities on 20th February. Both the face and upper body of the Miss K was exposed, she was also holding her coat on her hand and look ahead in the photo.

Some of the comments by netizens are, “Is this a composite photo?” and “I’ll be very shocked if this is really Miss K.”

It has been known that the actress in the photo is actress Kim Ah Joong. This is the second case of such composite photos being released on the internet after actress actress Son Ye Jin. After news went out, Kim Ah Joong instantly became #1 on internet search portals on 20th February.

While Kim Ah Joong’s management company has also came forth to speak up about the photo, “This is clearly a composite photo. We have gone to request for an investigation by the cyber police on 20th February. Legal actions will be made against the person who made the composite photo and also people who circulated the photo on the internet.”

Handcuffed S'porean on drug charge flees: Malaysian Police have launched a manhunt for a Singaporean who escaped from custody while he was being escorted to the court lock-up in Shah Alam.

The man was charged under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the mandatory death penalty. The incident happened when two policemen were escorting the Singaporean and two other detainees in a police vehicle from the Shah Alam High Court back to the lock-up, located in the court's premises about 12.30pm. When they reached the judges' parking lot near the lock-up, the Singaporean shoved the policeman out of the vehicle and made a break for it.

A source said,

The Singaporean was still handcuffed at his back when this incident happened. The other policeman could not go after the Singaporean as he had to watch over the other two detainees who were also handcuffed.

The Singaporean had been arrested several years ago and he had appeared in court several times before Friday's appearance.

Linda Lou Taylor, 68, who holds a Guinness World Record as the most married woman in history, said two of her husbands turned out to be gay, two ended up homeless, a few cheated on her, one choked her and another padlocked the refrigerator shut, Gannett News Service reported Wednesday.

Taylor said,

It's easy to sum up. When I was younger I was just a snot-nosed kid but the neighborhood boys were all in love with me. They all wanted to marry me. I would get married again," she told Gannett, "because, you know, it gets lonely.

According to Indianapolis Star, Taylor grew up in the Central Indiana town of Alexandria.

Her first marriage was in 1957, for love. Her most recent wedding was in 1996, for publicity. Now known as Mrs. Linda Wolfe, she is the most-married woman in history. She is also the most-married person alive.

The nicest was George Scott, her first and -- at seven years -- her longest marriage. He was 31 and fresh from a stint in the military. She was 16 and just out of eighth grade.

The best lover was Jack Gourley, who liked skinny dipping and impromptu trysts. She wed him three times.

The marriage to Fred Chadwick was the shortest: 36 hours. The love wasn't there.

The strangest exchange of vows took place at the Indiana Reformatory at Pendleton to a one-eyed inmate named Tom Stutzman, whom she said was wrongly convicted of rape.

Page Museum.

Zed was discovered at a construction site in the heart of Los Angeles. An earth mover helping to build an underground parking garage near the L.A. County Museum of Art uncovered the mammoth's skull, according to project director Christopher Shaw.

The research was presented this week by Susan Fiske, professor of psychology at Princeton University, at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

The participants, 21 heterosexual male undergraduates at Princeton, took questionnaires to determine whether they harbor "benevolent" sexism, which includes the belief that a woman's place is in the home, or hostile sexism, a more adversarial viewpoint which includes the belief that women attempt to dominate men.

In the men who scored highest on hostile sexism, the part of the brain associated with analyzing another person's thoughts, feelings and intentions was inactive while viewing scantily clad women, Fiske said.

But soon after the issue hit newsstands, the Rev. Al Sharpton -- and other black opinion makers like CNN's Roland Martin -- blasted the cartoon as an attack on Obama's skin color and African-Americans in general.

Iha, Carlos, Hanson, Schlesinger Form Band: Former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, Hanson's Taylor Hanson and Fountains Of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger have formed a new band, Tinted Windows.

The group has recorded its debut album at Stratosphere Sound Studios in New York, which Schlesinger and Iha co-own with Ivy's Andy Chase. The set is expected this spring on a label to be announced.

Tinted Windows will play its first major show at Billboard's South by Southwest showcase, to be held March 20 at Pangaea in Austin, Texas.

It took 1 1/2 hours of surgery to remove the shattered bones and repair the damage. Medically speaking, he crushed his right index finger distal phalange. The magnets had a 50 cm (20 inch) separation when they decided to fly together.

The rat, which weighed six pounds and had a 12-inch tail, was caught at the weekend in a residential area of Fuzhou, a city of six million people on China's south coast.

The ratcatcher, who was only named as Mr Xian, said he swooped for the rodent after seeing a big crowd of people surrounding it on the street.

He told local Chinese newspapers that he thought the rat might be a valuable specimen, or a rare species, and had to muster up his courage before grabbing its tail and picking it up by the scruff of its neck.

Mr Xian said,

I did it, I caught a rat the size of a cat!

However, the removal was done at Danica's consent. According to Fox Sports,

Eight years after Hoop Magazine controversially airbrushed one of Iverson's tattoos for its cover shot, Sports Illustrated has airbrushed Indy Racing's biggest star.

The victim? Patrick's American Flag tattoo on the small of her back.

The primary difference in the two cases is that Sports Illustrated had Patrick's consent when it airbrushed her tattoo for its Swimsuit Edition. Hoop Magazine did its photoshopping without Iverson knowing.

"Danica is aware of the edits and is comfortable with the final photos," Patrick's representative told CNBC's Darren Rovell in a story posted on CNBC's Web site. Sports Illustrated, which acknowledged the airbrushing, did not say why the editorial decision was made when asked by CNBC. Patrick's tattoo did appear in last year's Swimsuit issue.

Jay Chou creates super-pandamen: Pop star-turned director Jay Chou thinks Chinese people lack a superhero who can rival Spiderman and Batman, so he is determined to create two, not one, Panda-men.

Chou on Monday held a press conference in Beijing to introduce the concept for his small-screen directorial debut, "Pandamen".

"Pandamen" depicts two future superheroes in the year 2030 who fight to protect the city they live in.

Jay Chou said,

We have seen such Western superheroes as Spiderman and Batman but Chinese people need their own heroes, and that will be the pandamen.

A rendering of the superpanda unveiled at the press conference shows a human-like panda wearing tight, leather suit and a red scarf resembling the cape of Superman. Chou, who is also an actor, will appear in the drama but not as the pandamen, the star says. The two protagonists will be portrayed by Devon Song and Zhan Yuhao from the Taiwan music group Nan Quan Mama.

Shooting will begin on February 25.
