of maia lee admits "i had sex at marina square "

Star bloggers reveal naughty secrets: Starbloggers Jamie Yeo, Dawn Yang, Sheylara and Maia Lee reveals their deepest and darkest secrets. The boldest was Maia Lee who revealed her sex tyrsts.

Maia said,
I cannot remember all the places I have had sex at, but I know we were not always behind closed doors. I can only remember when we did it in Marina Square, on the spiral staircase near the overhead bridge to Suntec. It was about 9 or 10pm and no one bothered to go up those staircases anyway. We could hear people walking by but I kept assuring him we wouldn't get caught.
Read Maia's post (titled "I Had Sex At Marina Square") here.

For Jamie Yeo, she revealed in her entry (titled "I hid Hello Kitty in my underwear!") that she shoplifted and stuffed her stolen items in her underwear.

of google acquires recaptcha

Google acquires ReCaptcha as book-scanning aid: Google has acquired ReCAPTCHA, a company that provides CAPTCHAs to protect websites from spam and fraud.

Google has acquired ReCaptcha, one of those companies behind the distorted text boxes at the bottom of many Web site sign-in pages.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Google plans to use ReCaptcha's technology both as a security measure within certain Google sites and to make its massive book-scanning project a little smarter, the company said in a blog post. ReCaptcha is an offshoot of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science, and puts a twist on the traditional captcha: a string of letters in squiggly text meant to confuse spam bots and other nonhuman Web pests.

The idea behind a captcha is to confuse a computer, but computers are also confused by some words written in fonts used long ago. ReCaptcha offers two words, one of which is a captcha it already knows, and one of which is a word it doesn't know. The thinking is that if you get the first word right, you're likely a human and you're also probably going to get the second one right.

of facebook begins testing facebook lite

Facebook Begins Testing Facebook Lite, A Faster Simpler Version Of The Service: Facebook has invited some of its users to try out a simpler faster version of Facebook.
It looks like Facebook has tonight turned on a feature called “Facebook Lite” for some users to test out. We’re getting bombarded by tips about it, and some of us are seeing it as well. Unfortunately, it appears that it may not be fully ready for prime time yet, but we have more information and what looks to be a screenshot below, so keep reading.
TechCrunch has posted an official response from Facebook
We are currently testing a simplified alternative to Facebook.com that loads a specific set of features quickly and efficiently. Similar to the Facebook experience you get on your mobile phones, Facebook “Lite” is a fast-loading, simplified version of Facebook that enables people to make comments, accept Friend requests, write on people’s Walls, and look at photos and Status updates. We are currently testing Facebook Lite in countries where we are seeing lots of new users coming to Facebook for the first time and are looking to start off with a more simple experience.

This evening, the test was temporarily exposed to a larger set of users by mistake. We have not opened up access to lite.facebook.com to all users at this time. People who are not part of the test and are trying to access “Lite” will be directed to Facebook.com as usual.

of oh, my! singapore press holdings website steals from red sports

Oh, my! Singapore Press Holdings website steals from Red Sports: Red Sports has brought to our attention that www.omy.sg was using one of Red Sports' photos in its article without permission. OMY even cropped off the Red Sports copyrigth watermark from the photo.

Click here to see the photo in Red Sports and the one posted by OMY.
One of our volunteers spotted the report below on www.news.omy.sg. See the picture? Doesn’t it look exactly like the Red Sports picture, also shown below?

As if taking the picture isn’t bad enough, they covered their tracks by cropping off the copyright watermark – “© REDSPORTS.SG” – from the bottom right of the picture. They gave information about the date of the picture, the context of the picture but – oh, my! – failed to mention where the picture came from.

What part of “© REDSPORTS.SG” did they not understand?

The photo was taken by Marvin Lowe, a Red Sports volunteer, who confirmed that Omy did not at any time seek his permission to use the photo. And given the circumstances of the story, we think the infringement is especially vile. A young girl died tragically. Was omy so eager to give a face to the story that they would stoop so low as to rip off someone else’s picture?

At the bottom of the www.omy.sg website, there is a line that says: SPH Copyright ©

The OMY article (snapshot taken by Red Sports)

The above photo taken by Marvin Lowe and first posted here, with the Red Sports copyright watermark was cropped off in the OMY article.

of the 'al-qaeda' blog which claimed jakarta hotel bombings

'Al-Qaeda' blog claims bombing as Indonesia hotels reopen: "Al-Qaeda Organisation Indonesia" blog has claimed responsiblity for the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton bomb attack in Jakarta. The message in Indonesian and Arabic is signed by "Abu Muawwidz Nur Din bin Muhammad Top". See snapshot of the blog below.

Two luxury hotels struck by suicide bombers less than two weeks ago re-opened Wednesday in Jakarta, as an Internet blog from "Al-Qaeda Organisation Indonesia" claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Police said they could not tell if the claim was authentic but it was being investigated as part of the massive probe into the July 17 twin suicide blasts, which killed seven people including six foreigners.

The message in Indonesian and Arabic is signed by "Abu Muawwidz Nur Din bin Muhammad Top" and praises two "holy warrior brothers" who blew themselves up at the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in central Jakarta.

The statement said the attacks were a "martyrdom operation for jihad" intended as "retribution for the deeds of America and its agents against our Muslim brothers and holy warriors in all corners of the world".

How To Get Noticed By A Chick On Twitter: Manolith shows how to attract girls in Twitter.
So there’s this chick on Twitter that you’re kind of into, which is weird because you haven’t really met her in person, but you just can’t help yourself—something about her tweets just gets you going.

of thin is in for singapore youth (fauzi rassull)

Thin is in for Singapore youth: Fauzi Rassull is a slim 20-year-old blogger, popular among Singapore's fashionable youngsters, who flaunts his 1.73-metre (5-foot 8-inch), 60-kilogram (132-pound) frame in glamour shots splashed on his sites.
Followers share tips on eating and Fauzi himself swears by his regimen of two meals a day consisting of bread, instant noodles and salad.

Thanks in part to anti-fat advocates like Fauzi, thin is in among Singapore teens and young adults, but experts warn that the fad is behind a worrying spike in the number of people developing eating disorders.

"I don't see myself as thin, I don't think I'm thin now," he insisted, saying he was aiming to cut his weight down to 53 kilograms.

Fauzi's dream weight would put him below the healthy range of the Body Mass Index (BMI) system used in many countries to measure fat.

At that weight, Fauzi, who does not hold a regular job and sells ads on his blog, would be risking "nutritional deficiency diseases and osteoporosis" based on the BMI scale of the Singapore Health Promotion Board, a government agency.

Fauzi, whose blog "The Male Bitch" was voted Singapore's most popular blog for four consecutive weeks in 2009, denies he is encouraging anorexia, which afflicts many Asian youngsters.
