of fugazi uploads hundreds of concert recordings online

Fugazi, is an American post-hardcore band formed in 1987, comprising Ian MacKaye, Guy Picciotto, Joe Lally and Brendan Canty. The band, famous for keeping concert tickets low - $5 or so, has played over 1000 concerts, all fifty United States, Europe, Australia, South America, Japan and many points in between. Over 800 of these shows were recorded.

Now the band has begun putting them all on its Fugazi Live Series website which will be officially launched on Dec 1, 2011.

Fugazi website at Dischord.

Read more at dischord (Fugazi Live Series to Launch December 1, 2011 - Now Up in Beta)

The Fugazi Live Series is a complete online archive of these concerts. Show pages will feature data from the concerts and (when available) related photos, flyers and MP3 downloads. The goal is to make the shows available to browse for free or to download for a small fee. Initially the band will release 130 downloads (101 new shows plus 29 of the shows released on the now out-of-print Fugazi Live CD series). Additional downloads, photos, flyers, etc. will be added regularly until the entire archive is available.

In keeping with the band's philosophy of keeping music affordable, the suggested price of a concert download is $5. However, we also offer a sliding scale option where you can set your own price. Additionally, we offer an All Access option that will allow you to download every show on the site - that would include all 130 presently available downloads as well as all subsequent shows that will be added to the site over time.

of the fbi finally recognizes juggalos as a national threat

The FBI finally recognizes Juggalos as a national threat: The FBI has listed Juggalos in its National Gang Threat Assessment (.pdf), categorizing Juggalos as "Non-Traditional Gangs".

The Juggalos, a loosely-organized hybrid gang, are rapidly expanding into many US communities. Although recognized as a gang in only four states, many Juggalos subsets exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence. Law enforcement officials in at least 21 states have identified criminal Juggalo sub-sets, according to NGIC reporting. Most crimes committed by Juggalos are sporadic, disorganized, individualistic, and often involve simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft, and vandalism. However, open source reporting suggests that a small number of Juggalos are forming more organized subsets and engaging in more gang-like criminal activity, such as felony assaults, thefts, robberies, and drug sales. Social networking websites are a popular conveyance for Juggalo sub-culture to communicate and expand.

Juggalo or Juggalette (the latter being feminine) is traditionally a fan of musical group Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records hip hop group.

Insane Clown Posse is made up of Joseph Bruce (Violent J) and Joseph Utsler (Shaggy 2 Dope).

of metallica f1 concert cancelled, fans destroys stage and creates chaos

Postponed F1 Metallica gig now cancelled: The Metallica concert for the Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix was scrapped after a “failure of a security barricade in front of the stage that could not be adequately repaired. Disappointed fans went on stage and went on a rampage.

Watch Gurgaon Metallica Concert Chaos. Crowd Gets angry and starts breaking stage equipment after being told that the concert is postponed for the day after due to technical difficulties

Metallica no-show prompts riot in India. Indian fans of Metallica riot and damage the stage after the band's concert was postponed in New Delhi.

The group posted a statement on their website

We arrived in Delhi on Friday very excited and ready to play our first show ever in India at the F1 Rocks concert. However, immediately at the end of our afternoon press conference at a hotel near the venue, we were notified that there was a serious question as to whether the show could proceed with regard to the safety of the concert audience. And our first and foremost concern is always for the safety of you, the fans.

Once we, along with DNA, the promoters of the show, determined that there was a failure of a security barricade in front of the stage that could not be adequately repaired, the promoter reluctantly announced the postponement of the show until Saturday. Unfortunately, on such short notice the promoters were unable to secure a permit for a show on Saturday. Therefore, DNA announced that we would not be able to play in Delhi. Within the next 24 hours a notification will be issued by DNA regarding the process for full refunds.

We are deeply disappointed with this news as we were looking forward to our first experience in India as much as you guys were. Keep watching for updates here as additional details are determined and confirmed.
