Ah Sang dies of breast cancer: Famous for the song "Leaves", Taiwanese singer commonly known as Ah-Sang has passed on after a battle with breast cancer. She was 34. The singer with "a voice that heals the souls", passed away in Xindian Tzu-Chi Hospital at 8am on Monday. She was diagnosed with final stage breast cancer last October.

Ah Sang, born Huang Yan Lin, was given her pseudonym which means melancholy for her deep low voice that penetrated the hearts of many fans. She led a low-profile life and never revealed her personal matters. A pub singer before being discovered for her singing talent, Ah Sang had also worked as a receptionist in a law firm and a customer service officer in shopping malls to make a living while preparing for her debut album in 2003. She rose to fame by singing "Leaves", the ending theme song of popular Taiwanese drama "The Rose", and released two albums - Loneliness Is Singing in 2003 and I'm A Little Hurt in 2005.
