Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. has named Lim Hwee Hua as a senior adviser to the firm. Mrs. Lim held various offices in the government of Singapore, retiring from public service as minister in the Prime Minister's Office.
Ms. Lim was part of a team from the ruling People's Action Party – including ex-Foreign Minister George Yeo – that lost the 5-member Aljunied group representation constituency to the opposition Workers' Party in the general election in May this year.
Mrs. Lim was elected Member of Parliament for the Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency in both the 1997 and 2001 Singapore general elections and was appointed Minister of State for Finance and Transport in 2004.
