APPOINTMENT OF RETURNING OFFICER
It is hereby notified for general information that, in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 3(1) of the Parliamentary Elections Act, the Prime Minister has
appointed Mr Yam Ah Mee to be the Returning Officer, with effect from 1st June
2010.

The Returning Officer for the Parliamentary and Presidential Elections has been named.

He is the new chief executive director of the People's Association, Mr Yam Ah Mee.

The appointment was made by the Prime Minister and published in the online government gazette on Tuesday.

Mr Yam's term as Returning Officer begins on 1 June 2010.

The former Returning Officer was Mr Tan Boon Huat, who has retired.
