There was this message informing that the number 1900-9111110 is a hoax. Received it many times by SMS and email.



Email extract:

"Dear friends,

If you receive a SMS request you to donate to Red Cross Society through

phone, please DO NOT CALL the no. 1900-9111110.

It was confirmed with Singapore Red Cross Society that they did not

request people to make donation through telephone.

Some people may using this opportunity to cheat money.

Please be careful before making any donation.

If you wish to help tsunami victims, you can make donation by:

Address your cheque to "Singapore Red Cross Society".

Indicate behind the cheque "Tidal Waves Asia".

Include name, address and telephone number at the back of the cheque as

a receipt will be sent to you.



Post the cheque to:

Please forward this message to more people so that they would not be

deceive."



I went to the [Mercy Relief] website which tell me to dial that number to donate $10.

So how? The kids below have no home to stay.

Stop playing all these hoax games. People are in need. Children are made homeless. It doesn't matter how much one organisation/country collects. In the end, I'm sure the $$$ will be pooled together and made to good use.
