America, Employer of the Oppressed

I had to watch the above video three times before I got what it was saying. On the 1st go around I saw a group of British people talking which immediately made me believe they were just brain storming ways to take back romantic comedies from Wisconsin born actor Mark Ruffalo. The 2nd time I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing and finally on the 3rd time the truth hit me harder than a dime bag of Charlie Sheen.

America is no longer the beacon of freedom it once was.

An article from Centre for Research on Globalization, an independent research firm interested in economic and geopolitical issues, points out

“Figures show that the United States has locked up more people than any other country: a half million more than China, which has a population five times greater than the U.S. Statistics reveal that the United States holds 25% of the world's prison population, but only 5% of the world's people.”

To piggy back off that idea research from California Prison Focus has concluded this about America:

"No other society in human history has imprisoned so many of its own citizens."

Come on America, you should be ashamed of yourself! If you want cheap labor you don’t have to imprison your country's citizens, just go to Home Depot around 7:00 A.M. with a case of Coronas. I mean for pete sakes, what happened to our country where the phrase “Land of the Free” no longer applies?

However, despite all the negative conclusions one can draw form this video, and there are a ton, it does point out one great piece of advice for the youth of our nation. If you want a job in this economy don’t waste your money on college, just light up a joint outside a police station.
