The lovebirds, now both 27, first met in seventh-grade math class. They became good friends and began dating at the end of their freshman year of high school. And on Friday — nearly 13 years after they first became an item — Cahoon surprised his longtime sweetheart by proposing to her at the site where they first met — Room 9 at Horner Junior High School in Fremont.
