What really happened during the Stephen Colbert and Richard Branson interview?

In case you are not aware of the Colbert-Branson saga, Richard Branson was invited as an undisclosed guest at The Colbert Report. He was on the show to talk about Virgin America and one of the planes called "Air Colbert" which was named after Colbert. Branson was not happy that he did not have enough time to say what he wanted to say about promoting Virgin America and poured a cup of water on Colbert. Colbert got some water and threw it back on Branson. Well no one knows if this was planned or it was unexpected.

The interview was filmed on the 7th. On the 8th, Stephen Colbert was to attend the christening ceremony of Air Colbert. However, Stephen Colbert could not make it as he was stuck in traffic for 4 1/2 hours and skipped the event.

Apparently there was a video of the water throwing episode on YouTube as mentioned at Boing Boing. But YouTube pulled it off.

Update: The water throwing incident will air on 22nd August during the "Colbert Report".
